Gold Coast, QLD  – Leading national site safety specialists Buildsafe is proud to support the House for Life project for the tenth consecutive year, showcasing how the construction sector can band together for a cause.

House for Life is an inspiring initiative founded on a long-standing partnership between Mater Foundation and Plantation Homes, in which a Plantation home is built and auctioned, with all proceeds donated in support of Mater Little Miracles.

These vital funds support Mater’s Neonatal Critical Care Unit, helping give Queensland’s tiniest patients the best possible start to life.

According to Buildsafe Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mike Shipton, it is a testament to the construction sector that such a strong network of trades, suppliers and partners who work alongside Plantation Homes comes together for this cause.

“It is a truly incredible thing to see so many people from across the construction working together to bring this vision to life each year,” said Mr Shipton.

 

“Buildsafe has a strong focus on giving back to the community and we’re incredibly proud to have supported this initiative for ten years alongside Plantation Homes, helping raise funds that make a real difference for Queensland families. The 2026 House for Life is located at 21 Luke Street, Wavell Heights, showcasing the generosity and community spirit that defines the Queensland building industry.

As part of its commitment, Buildsafe has provided safety systems and site support throughout the construction process, ensuring a safe environment for all trades involved, a contribution that underscores Buildsafe’s core purpose, making construction safer for everyone.

The home will be auctioned with all proceeds donated directly to the Mater Little Miracles cause.
