Buildsafe Proudly Supports 2026 Good Friday Appeal: Securing the Build of the Stunning ‘Lancaster 440’ for The Royal Children’s Hospital

Meet Jodie D'Arcy, Buildsafe’s Corporate Services Manager.

Gold Coast, QLD  – National site safety leaders Buildsafe are proud to announce their support for the 2025/2026 Good Friday Appeal Home, contributing critical safety systems to the construction of the stunning Henley Homes Lancaster 440 D47 in Villawood’s Alamora community.

The home, featuring the bold Monroe façade, is a masterpiece of architectural style and family-focused design.

On Good Friday, 3 April 2026, the fully furnished five-bedroom residence will go under a no-reserve hammer, with 100 per cent of the proceeds donated to The Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH) to support sick children and their families.

For Buildsafe CEO Mike Shipton, providing the edge protection and scaffolding systems for such a high-stakes charity build, while working alongside one of its most valued partners in Henley Homes is a reflection of the company’s core values.

“The Good Friday Appeal is a cornerstone of the Australian spirit, as well as a major part of Victoria’s community fabric and seeing the Victorian construction industry rally together for the Royal Children’s Hospital is truly inspiring,” said Mr. Shipton.

“Buildsafe’s mission is to make construction safer for everyone, and there is no better way to live that purpose than by ensuring the trades and partners bringing this ‘House for Life’ to reality can work in a world-class safe environment. As a business, we are proud to be working alongside our partners and applaud the industry leadership Henley has shown for 33 years in driving this initiative.

Located on a 448m² north-facing block overlooking peaceful wetlands in Tarneit, the Lancaster 440 is designed for modern multigenerational living.

The double-storey home features a luxurious master sanctuary, an expansive open-plan kitchen anchored by a stunning void, and a professionally landscaped outdoor entertainer’s dream.

As a key partner in the build, Buildsafe provided the essential safety framework – including aluminium scaffolding and edge protection – enabling the diverse range of trades to install the luxury fittings, Monroe façade, and complex structural elements safely and efficiently.

“Our role is to protect the people who build these homes,” Mr. Shipton added.

“By donating our equipment and site support, we allow more of the funds raised on auction day to go directly where they are needed most – medical research, equipment, and care for the kids at RCH.”

The no-reserve auction on April 3 represents the culmination of months of donated labour, materials, and furniture.

Buildsafe joins a dedicated network of suppliers and trades committed to helping the Good Friday Appeal continue its life-changing work for Victorian families.
